This is an examined course of a minimum of six hours duration. Intended for everyone who handles food, it provides a general introduction to food hygiene issues including hazard analysis and provides the necessary knowledge and information needed to underpin good food safety practices.

The examination is a 30 question multiple-choice paper with a 60% pass mark.

Successful course participants receive the REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
